Ryne Raffaelle, VP for research and associate provost at RIT
How it works:
Each team will have 10-15 minutes to present their business concept in a format that has been provided in the workshop. The participants are advised that they are not expected to have a polished presentation for raising investment capital. However, they should have a clear idea of what their product and technology is, the specific markets to be served, and be able to articulate what resources they need to commercialize their technology. A list of the slides they are to present and a sample of the types of slides in the presentation format are attached to this note.
Comments from each reviewer run about 3-4 minutes in length. We want the teams to have an objective critique of their technology commercialization presentations–with an encouraging bias. Our expectation is that most of these teams still have a substantial amount of work ahead of them and we want them to have a good understanding of what issues they need to address after the workshop.
